It has been a awhile since I have played this one, but I remember that it was a whole lotta fun and pretty hard.
there are zombies to kill.....that is enough story for me!
At least the town wasn't full of undead heroes from Guardian heroes! There would be no town left if they ever got angry and exploded all at once......
Bullets....and more Bullets!
One of the big reasons this game sticks out from other brawlers is the use of guns as if it was a one of your normal attacks. As you kill enemies and break crates you can find BULLETS! Though the gun is a main part of this game, that doesn't mean that it has infinite ammo. You aren't just getting bullets for your hand gun, you are also picking up bigger, more fun guns to play with. Like shotguns, machine guns, you know the drill.
In any zombie game, whether it be a light gun game, first person shooter or third person action game, the one truth this pretty much always stays true is head shots! Always a great way to put what is already dead back into the ground! Well head shots remain true in this game as well. As you aim at the enemy, you have a very house of the dead like cursor appear on them. The longer you hold it, the more it changes from a green to a red color. Red color means critical head shot time! They take big damage or just plain die(again!).
Also, no zombie game would be complete without survivors! You save them and they give you items to continue your adventure! Like the title of this post, they also come with great cheesy lines as well.
Next thing to talk about is the stages, no brawler is good without good music(this game has a very house of the dead vibe) and stages. It starts off in a city, pretty straight forward. but you got your requisite sewer areas and the like. Then there are some unique stages like being surrounded by a fire while you shoot zombies waiting to grab on to your incoming chopper's ladder. The best stage of all is the Curien Mansion. The actual factual House of the Dead! It is a stage I don't remember getting past much but I would like to try again with the knowlegde and skill I have now.
Last but not least, there are 3 playable characters in this game. You have Stick Breitling, Linda Rotta and Rikiya Busujima. You main hero type that is an all around fighter, your quick agile female and your Japanese speaking guy with an afro and cybernectics that specializes in hand to hand combat?(thats not normal!). even though there is three characters, this game is only 2 players.
Now for our gameplay video, where you can see the interesting gameplay mechanics and the wonderfully cheesy voice acting!
Look at the computer screen in the beginning and you can see an icon that say "G" under it. G is from house of the dead for the people who don't know.
gotta say it one last time.....BULLETS!
Lan Di must pay.....COME ON SEGA!
